Caroline has known Kaka since she was 13 years old, back when he was still playing for Sao Paolo. She is the daughter of the entrepreneur Celso Celico and the representative of Christian Dior in Brazil, Rosângela Lyra. She has a brother, Enrico. She can also speak 4 languages besides Portugese- French, Spanish, Italian and English. She frequented the same church as Kaka back in Brazil.

It was an event dubbed "responsible for thousands of teenage girls all over the world sobbing hysterically" by the press. Yet, on the 23rd of December 2005, Ricardo Kaka took his long time girlfriend, Caroline Celico to be his wife. The news was abrupt. Kaka himself had mentioned in a previous interview that he intended to marry only after the World Cup while Caroline "sorted out her studies". Instead, the Brazilian player chose not to wait and thus, the couple who met when she was 13, got hitched in a ceremony attended by 900 guests.

The preparations were made ahead of time in the Evangelical Reborn in Christ Church, Sao Paolo. Among the guests were several of Kaka's teammates in Brazil's national team, including Roque Junior, Dida and Ze Roberto, Julio Baptista, Ricardinho and Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.

Kaka had written a song for his bride, and as the church choir sang it, Caroline found her eyes welling up on the altar. It was a special moment for both of them. Kaka wore a dark brown Georgio Armani suit, while Caroline was donned in a pastel white Christian Dior outfit. After the ceremony, the couple flew by helicopter, primarily to beat the traffic, to their after party held at the Hyatt hotel. The party started at 10 and lasted all the way till the wee hours of 5 in the morning. However, press reports indicated that the couple stayed only for 2 hours, after their "dance" and Kaka's face was "radiant" throughout the party. They were escorted to their suite in the hotel at around 12 in the morning.

The couple left the next morning for their Honeymoon, in an undisclosed location. Rumors have indicated that the couple vacationed in America.

So what does the future hold for this young couple?. Both will live in Italy, while Caroline pursues her degree in Business and Ricky continues to do what he does best in the World of Football. So girls, don't despair!. There's still Rodrigo around ;)
